This paper deals with a new spectral code for the spatially periodic non-stationary Navier-Stokes equations. It was found a plenty of apparently steady, periodic and choatic solutions interesting from the point of view of dynamical systems theory. The authors discuss the numerical solution chosen for analysis, introduce some function spaces and estimate the norm of the inverse of the linearization L about the numerical solution. The method presented here is based on showing that the computed solution satisfies criteria which imply the convergence of a fixed point iteration, in appropriate function spaces, using the computed solution for an existence theorem.
