The author generalizes many notions from (generalized) metrizability theory to higher cardinals and thus obtains various characterizations, in terms of neighborhood assignments, of the metrizability degree. He then goes on to do similar things for the uniform and proximal weight of spaces. On occasion this reveals connections between known metrization theorems.
