Some infinite-dimensional simple Lie algebras in characteristic \(0\) related to those of Block (Q1295509)

Given a nontrivial torsion-free abelian group \((A,+,0)\), a field \(F\) of characteristic 0, and a nondegenerate biadditive skew-symmetric map \(\varphi:A\times A\to F\), the authors study the Lie algebra \({\mathfrak L}(A,\varphi)\) over \(F\) with basis \(\{e_x: x\in A\setminus \{0\}\}\) and multiplication \([e_x,e_y]= \varphi(x,y) e_{x+y}\). They show that it is simple, determine its derivations, describe all isomorphisms between two such algebras, and compute \(H^2({\mathfrak L},F)\) for \({\mathfrak L}={\mathfrak L}(A,\varphi)\).
