This article resumes the investigation of monoreflections, which are maximal relative to some given constraints, viewing them from the point of view of pushouts. The role of the kernels of the category is then explained. With this pair of resources at hand a number of categories are analyzed in detail, notably categories of (commutative) rings and \(f\)-rings.
