This paper deals with Hochschild and cyclic (co)homology of strongly group graded algebras \(R=\bigoplus_{g\in G}R_g\), \(R_gR_h=R_{gh}\). As is well-known, these homology theories are Morita invariant for arbitrary algebras. In the graded case, there are spectral sequences converging to the homology of \(R\), with second page the homology of \(G\) with coefficients the homology of the identity component \(R_1\). It is shown here that, if two strongly \(G\)-graded algebras \(R\) and \(S\) are graded Morita equivalent (i.e., the equivalence is afforded by a \(G\)-graded \((R,S)\)-bimodule), the isomorphism between the homologies of \(R\) and \(S\) comes from an isomorphism of the second pages of their respective spectral sequences. For Hochschild cohomology, a corresponding result is also proved under the weaker assumption of graded derived equivalence.
