    For finding a locally unique zero of a polynomial operator \(F\) of degree \(k\geq 2\) in Banach space the author proves a new semilocal convergence theorem for Newton's method that uses information on all Fréchet-derivatives of \(F\) except the first. This theorem provides the smallest region where the solution is located and the biggest one where this solution is unique. It is shown that results obtained for polynomial operator hold in a more general setting when \(F\) is a general nonlinear operator whose \(k\)th Fréchet-derivative satisfies a Hölder continuity condition. Furthermore, some applications of these convergence conditions different from Newton-Kantorovich hypothesis are suggested to the solution of polynomial systems and differential equations, especially, to solve a nonlinear integral equation appearing in radiative transfer.
