Topological realization of the integer ring of local field (Q1296417)

This paper shows that one can construct a sequence of ring spectra for Morava \(K\)-theories and ring spectrum maps whose homotopy groups are isomorphic to the tower of totally ramified extensions of \({\mathcal O}_{k}\), the integer ring of the degree \(n\) unramified extensions of the \(p\)-adic number field \({\mathcal Q}_{p}\).
