On quasi-hypergeometric functions (Q1296533)

This paper introduces functions analogous to the generalized hypergeometric functions of one or more variables which the authors denote quasi-hypergeometric functions. It is shown that these functions do not satisfy differential equations. The authors introduce a system of fractional differential equations and difference-differential equations which these quasi-hypergeometric functions satisfy. Some properties of the fractional differential operator are studied and some examples are also given.
