      Continuous functions \(f:\mathbb{R}^n\to \mathbb{R}\) satisfying \(f(\lambda x)= \lambda^sf(x)\) for a given \(s\in \mathbb{R}\) and arbitrary \(x\in\Lambda\subset \mathbb{R}_+\) are determined. Assuming \(\Lambda\neq\emptyset\) and \(\Lambda\neq\{1\}\), they are of the form \(f(\lambda x)= g(\lambda)\lambda^s\) \((\lambda> 0)\) where \(g\) is a periodical function depending on the choice of \(x\in\mathbb{R}^n\), \(x\neq 0\).
