Given a polytope \(P\) in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), let \(P(d)\) denote the \(d\)-skeleton of \(P\) for \(d=0,1, \dots,n\). An \(\mathbb{R}\)-valued continuous function \(f\) in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) is said to satisfy the \(P(d)\)-mean value property if \(f\) satisfies the functional equation \[ f(x)=\bigl|P(d)\bigr|^{-1} \int_{P(d)} f(x+ry) d\mu_d(y) \] for any \(x\in \mathbb{R}^n\) and \(r>0\), where \(\mu_d\) is the \(d\)-dimensional Euclidean measure on \(P(d)\) and \(|P(d)|= \mu_d(P(d))\) is the total measure of \(P(d)\), \(\mu_0\) being the Dirac measure on the vertices \(P(0)\). Let \(H_{P(d)}\) denote the linear space of all continuous functions satisfying the \(P(d)\)-mean value property. The purpose of this paper is to determine \(H_{\Delta(P)}\) explicitly for any triangle \(\Delta\). In this case the skeletons \(\Delta(0)\), \(\Delta(1)\) and \(\Delta(2)\) are the vertices, sides and area of \(\Delta\), respectively. It is also shown that \(\dim H_{\Delta (d)}=6\) if the origin is the barycenter of \(\Delta\) (resp. the incenter of \(\Delta')\) for \(d= 0,2\) (resp. for \(d=1)\), where \(\Delta'\) is the reciprocal triangle of \(\Delta\); otherwise \(\dim H_{\Delta (d)}=2\).
