The authors study the \(q\)-Hermite functions \[ \psi_n(x|q)=\left[\sqrt{\pi} (q;q)_n\right]^{-1/2} H_n(\sin\kappa x|q)e^{-x^2/2},\quad 0<q=e^{-2\kappa^2}<1, \] where \(H_n(x|q)\) denote the continuous \(q\)-Hermite polynomials. These are \(q\)-analogues of the Hermite functions \[ \psi_n(x)=\left[\sqrt{\pi} 2^n n!\right]^{-1/2} H_n(x)e^{-x^2/2}, \] where \(H_n(x)\) denote the classical Hermite polynomials. The authors evaluate some integrals over the real line for these \(q\)-Hermite functions such as their squared norm. Further they use the Fourier-Gauss transform which relates the continuous \(q\)-Hermite polynomials \(H_n(x|q)\) and the \(q^{-1}\)-Hermite polynomials \(h_n(x|q):=i^{-n}H_n(ix|q^{-1})\) to obtain a Fourier expansion of the \(q\)-Hermite functions in terms of the classical Hermite functions or polynomials.
