Let \(\Delta\) be a polydisc in \(\mathbb{C}^n\) and \(E\) a holomorphic vector bundle defined on \(\Delta-\mathbb{R}^n\) with a Hermitian structure and compatible unitary connection \(\nabla\). In this note the author shows that a necessary and sufficient condition for a unique extension of \(E\) to \(\Delta\) is that the contraction of the curvature \(F_\nabla\) with a non-vanishing holomorphic vector field is \(\overline \partial\)-exact. Corollaries include a global version of this theorem and applications to removable singularities for anti-self-dual connections across a real line in \(\mathbb{C}^2\) and solutions of the static monopole equation across a point in \(\mathbb{R}^3\).
