The paper is devoted to explicit representations of generic surfaces immersed into four-dimensional Riemann spaces. They are parametrized by the complex variables \(z\), \(\overline z\in\mathbb{C}\) and the results may be regarded as a far going generalization of the familiar Weierstrass formulae for minimal surfaces in \(\mathbb{R}^3\). This provides a way to construct certain integrable deformations of such surfaces. To outline the simplest result, let \(\varphi= (\varphi_1, \varphi_2)\), \(\psi= (\psi_1, \psi_2)\) be complex valued functions of \(z\), \(\overline z\in\mathbb{C}\) satisfying \(\psi_z= p\varphi\), \(\varphi_z= -p\psi\) where \(p=p (z,\overline z)\) is a real-valued function. Then certain Weierstrass-like formulae for the point \(X=(X^1,\dots,X^4)\) determine the conformal immersion into \(\mathbb{R}^4\); for instance \(X^1={i\over 2}\int_\Gamma (\overline \psi_1\overline \psi_2+ \overline\varphi_1 \overline\varphi_2)dz-(\psi_1 \psi_2+ \varphi_1 \varphi_2)d \overline z\), where \(\Gamma\) is a contour in \(\mathbb{C}\). The induced metrics, Gaussian and mean curvatures can be expressed by simple formulae; e.g., \(H=2p/ \sqrt{u_1u_2}\), \(u_k=|\psi_k|^2 +|\varphi_k |^2\), for the mean curvature \(H\).
