The investigation of initial value problems for differential equations where the initial time differs with each solution is initiated. For it some monotony properties in the time of the right-hand side of the differential equations are used. Basic preliminary results in qualitative theory (nonlinear variation of parameter formula and criteria for practical and strong practical stability) are discussed to understand possible ramifications.
