On truncations of Hankel and Toeplitz operators (Q1301338)

This medium sized paper studies the boundedness properties of truncation operators acting on bounded Hankel (\(b_{m,n} b_{m+n}\) for some sequence) and Toeplitz (\(b_{m,n} b_{m-n}\)) infinite matrices. It is established a relation with the Lacey-Thiele theorem about the bilinear Hilbert transform. In section 3 it is shown that the Schatten classes are preserved by the truncation operators.
