Improved truncation error bounds for limit periodic continued fractions with additional assumptions on its elements (Q1301993)

The author determines conditions on \(\{ a_n\)\} and \(\{ b_n\)\} of limit periodic continued fraction\break \(K(a_n/b_n)\), which would insure that the truncation error is \(O(r^n)\), where \(r=|x_1/x_2|\), \(x_i\) being the roots of \(x^2+bx-a=0\) ( \(a_n \rightarrow a\), \(b_n \rightarrow b\)). He gives also an optimal estimate of the truncation error.
