The author proves that the only complete, irreducible, and isoparametric Riemannian submanifolds of a pseudo-Euclidean space are hyperbolic spaces, generalized horospheres or isoparametric submanifolds of an Euclidean space. He also gives a simple and geometric proof of a result of \textit{B. Wu} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 331, No. 2, 609-626 (1992; Zbl 0760.53035)] on isoparametric submanifolds of a hyperbolic space.
