The shape of an electrically charged interface between a perfectly conducting fluid and its vapor depends on how the surface tension is related to the curvature of the interface itself. The authors consider two possibilities for the fluid: the case of a spherical droplet, and a meniscus of fluid in a capillary tube, both in presence of external electric field. They provide a numerical procedure for calculating the profile of meniscus and discuss the obtained results for two cases: a capillary tube with a relatively large and small radius, respectively.
