The authors obtain closed-form solutions for electroelastic Eshelby's tensors of a piezoelectric ellipsoidal inclusion in an infinite non-piezoelectric matrix by using the Green's function technique. With the help of the generalized energy-equivalence framework together with the obtained solutions, the authors present a unified model for multiphase piezocomposites consisting of non-piezoelectric matrix and piezoelectric inclusions. As examples, the closed-form solutions for effective electroelastic moduli are given for 0-3 piezocomposites with transversely isotropic piezoelectric spherical inclusions, and for 1-3 piezocomposites with two kinds of transversely isotropic piezoelectric cylindrical inclusions. The computed results agree with experimental data.
