This article is devoted to the analysis of in-plane biaxial crushing experiments on polycarbonate honeycombs by means of large scale finite element models. The models account for nonlinearities in geometry and due to contact, while the polycarbonate material is modelled as an elastic-power law viscoplastic solid. The calculated effective responses turn out to be in a good agreement with experimental ones.
