In \((x,y)\) plane, the authors consider the interaction between a matrix crack and a circular inhomogeneity with a distinct interphase. The system is subjected to a steady-state antiplane wave directed at an angle with \(x\)-axis. To avoid the difficulties due to the complex boundary and interfacial conditions, the authors decompose the original dynamic interaction problem into simpler subproblems, which involve either only the crack or only the inhomogeneity. These subproblems are then solved to provide the superimposed solution to the original problem.
