The Cauchy-Dirichlet problem \(u_t- \text{div}\{|u|^l|Du|^{m- 2}Du\}= 0\) in \(Q_T\equiv \Omega\times (0,T]\), \(u= \varphi\geq 0\) on the parabolic boundary \(\Gamma_T\) of \(Q_T\), where \(\varphi\in \mathring W^1_m\cap C_\beta(\overline Q_T)\) for some \(\beta\in (0,1)\), \(m>1\), \(0\leq l<1\) is considered. The main result consists in the nontrivial statement that there exist weak solutions to the problem under consideration whose gradients are locally bounded. It is also shown that there is exactly one nonnegative ``regular'' solution satisfying for any domain \(Q_{\varepsilon, T}'\equiv \Omega'\times (\varepsilon, T]\), \(\overline\Omega'\subset \Omega\), \(\varepsilon> 0\), the estimate \(\sup(|Du|, Q_{\varepsilon,T}')\leq M_\varepsilon'\), where the constant \(M_\varepsilon'\) depends on \(\varepsilon\), the initial and boundary data and also on \(\text{dist}(\Omega',\partial\Omega)\). Nontrivial weighted gradient estimates in the case \(m>1\), \(l\geq 1\) are obtained as well.
