By a linguistic fuzzy dynamic plant the authors mean a rough process model given in the form of particular control rules of the type \[ \text{IF \(X\) is \(F_i\), THEN } \dot {X}= A_i X + B_i U \] for a vector \(X=(x_1,\dots, x_n)\) of state variables, a vector \(U = (u_1,\dots, u_m)\) of control variables and suitable matrices \(A_i, B_i \). The values of the control variables of \(U\) are also determined by a (standard) fuzzy controller. Their fuzzy system is a combination of this fuzzy controller with the linguistic fuzzy dynamic plant. For this fuzzy system stability criteria are given first in the continuous-time case, and later also in the discrete-time case.
