There are two natural bases for the invariant space of a tensor product of irreducible representations for simple Lie algebras of small rank. One is called the web basis that is defined through a skein theory. The other is the dual canonical basis defined by Lusztig and Kashiwara. In case of \(sl(2)\), \textit{I. B. Frenkel} and \textit{M. G. Khovanov} proved that the web basis is dual canonical [Duke Math. J. 87, 409-480 (1997; Zbl 0883.17013)]. In this paper, the authors show that these two bases are not equivalent for \(sl(3)\) in a certain example.
