Up to projective equivalence, there is only one 12-cap in \({\text PG}(5,3)\), which is a point model of Witt's 5-(12,6,1) design. There are different ways to derive this cap from the Veronese surface \({\mathcal V}\) in \(\text{PG}(5,3)\). In [\textit{H. Havlicek}, J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 84, 87-94 (1998; Zbl 0917.51005)], it is shown that this 12-cap can be obtained by replacing one conic of \({\mathcal V}\) by the set formed by the internal points of that conic. In this paper a second construction is presented which is, in some sense, the dual construction of the first one. All the internal points of 4 conics of \({\mathcal V}\) which meet in a fixed point form a 12-cap, which is a point model of Witt's 5-(12,6,1) design.
