On a parabolic system with time derivative in the boundary conditions and related free boundary problems (Q1306548)

Parabolic systems of the following form are discussed: \[ u_t=\Delta u+ g_1,\quad v_t=\Delta v+ g_2\qquad\text{in }\Omega\times (0,T), \] \[ \varepsilon u_t+ {\partial u\over\partial n}- kv= f_1,\quad {\partial v\over\partial n}+ u_t= f_2\qquad\text{on }\partial\Omega\times (0,T), \] \[ u(x,0)= 0,\quad v(x,0)= 0. \] Here \(\varepsilon\) is a small parameter and \(k\) is a positive constant. The authors prove estimates for the solutions and also investigate related free boundary value problems.
