Cyclic cohomology and Hopf algebras (Q1306726)

Cyclic cohomology on Hopf algebras is extended here to the general nonunimodular case. This answers an open question that appeared in a previous paper by the authors. Cyclic cohomology is described from a computational point of view as well as a categorical point of view, and is presented as an analogue to Lie algebra cohomology. In a very computational theorem the authors associate a cyclic complex to a Hopf algebra with a ``modular pair \((\delta,\sigma)\)'', which can be found in ribbon algebras, coribbon algebras, and compact quantum groups.
