    The author studies the following inhomogeneous nonstationary linear system with delay linear in time \(t\): \[ \begin{aligned} & \frac{dx(t)}{dt} = \widehat A(t)x(t) + \widehat B(t)x(\mu t) + f(t),\quad t\geq t_0>0,\\ & x(\eta) = \varphi(\eta),\quad\mu t_0\leq\eta\leq t_0,\;\mu = \text{const }, \;0<\mu<1. \end{aligned} \] Here, \(\widehat A(t)\) and \(\widehat B(t)\) are almost-periodic continuous \(m\times m\)-matrices; \(x(t)\) is an \(m\)-dimensional vector function in \(t\) that equals \(\varphi(\eta)\) at the initial moment \(t_0\); \(f(t)\) is a sufficiently smooth \(m\)-dimensional almost-periodic vector-valued function in \(t\); and the delay \(\gamma(t) = (1-\mu)t\) is a linear function in \(t\). The matrices \(\widehat A(t)\) and \(\widehat B(t)\) are assumed to satisfy the following inequalities: \[ \|\widehat A(t) - A\|\leq\delta_1(t),\quad \int_t^{t+1}\delta_1(s)ds\leq\sigma, \] \[ \|\widehat B(t) - B\|\leq\delta_2(t),\quad \int_t^{t+1}\delta_2(s) ds\leq\sigma, \] where \(\sigma\) is a sufficiently small positive number and \(A\) and \(B\) are constant \(m\times m\)-matrices. Moreover, it is supposed that the eigenvalues \(\lambda\) of \(A\) have negative real parts and the eigenvalues \(\rho\) of the matrix \(A^{-1}B\) satisfy the inequality \[ | \rho| <q,\qquad q = \text{const},\;0<q<1. \] The main result of the article reads as follows: If the assumptions on the data of the problem are valid then the inhomogeneous system admits an almost-periodic solution \(\bar x(t)\) for sufficiently small positive \(\sigma\) and the solution is asymptotically stable; moreover, this almost-periodic solution \(\bar x(t)\) is the unique almost-periodic solution to the equation and, at \(\sigma = 0\), it coincides with the almost-periodic solution \(\bar y(t)\) to the so-called generated inhomogeneous system.
