The authors study the stressed state of the interior of a truncated wedge (two-dimensional case) or of the interior of a truncated cone (three-dimensional case). To emphasize the correctness of these results, a comparison is made with results given by the Saint-Venant's theory when passing to the limit, obtaining thus a rectangle or a cylinder of the same area. The study is made for a transverse force, but the case of an axial force can also be taken into consideration.
