In this work a new class of conformal field theories is constructed starting from the correlation functions of the \(b-c\) systems computed on algebraic curves with crystallographic group of symmetry \(D_ n\) and projecting them on the complex plane via multivalued mappings. The conformal blocks are characterized by a nonabelian group of discrete symmetries \(D_ n\) and containing primary fields satisfying a remarkable nonstandard statistics. These primary fields, whose explicit form is provided using bosonization techniques, play the role of solitonic excitations induced by the topology of the algebraic curve. This shows that, at least in two dimensions, quantum mechanical states with generalized statistics can arise in field theories due to the presence of an external gravitational background. Some analogies with the theory of wormholes in four space-time dimensions are also discussed in detail. From the mathematical point of view, the conformal blocks derived by the author represent new explicit solutions of a Riemann monodromy problem in which the monodromy group, provided by the multivalued mappings that project the algebraic curves on the complex plane, is not abelian. The case of abelian monodromy groups has been studied by A. B. Zamolodchikov, M. A. Barshadsky-O. A. Radul and V. G. Knizhnik and it is based on works by Sato, Jimbo and Miwa on holonomic quantum fields.
