Domain integrals for axisymmetric interface crack problems (Q1309481)

New domain integrals for axisymmetric interface crack problems are derived. Special attention is given to the specification and subsequent treatment of auxiliary fields for the extraction of mixed-mode stress intensity factors using interaction energy integrals. The effect of crack front curvature is shown to play an important role in the derivation of the integrals. Numerical examples include an interface penny-shaped crack and a longitudinal interface crack (fiber pull-out problem), and yield very accurate and consistent results, when compared with analytical solutions from the literature.
