A double free convection, which is caused by an interplay of some externally applied horizontal-direction temperature and vertical- direction concentration gradients and which occurs in a vertically mounted closed circular annulus rotating about its axis, has been studied by using Boussinesq approximation and assuming the flow as an incompressible rotating laminar flow of a Newtonian fluid. Numerical solutions have been sought to depict the axisymmetric flow attainable in cylindrical geometry of circular cross-section. The set of governing mathematical equations has been solved by means of a high-accuracy pseudospectral numerical method. The major objective of the paper is to show the qualitative effect of the rotation on the double free convection.
