For a given \((T, \Omega,m)\), \(M(T, \Omega, m)\), function norm \(\rho\) on \(M\) and the space \(L_ \rho = \{f \in M, \rho (f) < \infty\}\) are considered a multiplicativity factor \(\mu\) and a quadrativity factor \(\lambda (\rho (fg))\leq \mu \rho (f) \rho (g)\) and \(\rho (f^ 2) \leq \lambda \rho^ 2(f)\), respectively). The authors present in this paper new and important results connected with a function algebra \(A\) (part 1) and with a function norm \(\rho : M \to [0,\infty]\) and the space \(L_ \rho\) (part 2). The main results of this paper are very general theorems 2.5 and 2.9. In the theorem 2.5 the authors have given necessary and sufficient conditions that \(L_ \rho\) be an algebra. Theorem 2.9 says that if \((T, \Omega, m)\) is free of infinite atoms, \(\rho\) is \(\sigma\)- subadditive and saturated, and \(L_ \rho\) is an algebra, then the multiplicativity and quadrativity factors for \(\rho\) coincide, and the best such factor is determined by \(\sup \{\| f \|_ \infty\}\).
