For a finite group \(G\), the integral group ring \(\mathbb{Z} G\) has finite lattice type if and only if the Sylow \(p\)-subgroups of \(G\) are cyclic of order at most \(p^ 2\), for every prime \(p\) dividing \(| G|\). In this case, the group ring \(\mathbb{Z}_ pG\) over the ring of \(p\)-adic integers is a direct sum of maximal orders, ``Dedekind-like'' orders and certain orders which the authors call special quasi-triads. These are iterated pullbacks of three hereditary orders of finite module type. The core of the paper consists of a classification of the indecomposable lattices over a special quasi-triad. This is achieved by reduction to a problem about canonical forms of certain matrices whose entries are homomorphisms. Using this classification the authors are able to decide which special quasi-triads have the property that every indecomposable lattice is isomorphic to a right ideal.
