Boundary equations in the problems of the dynamics of piecewise- homogeneous elastic media (Q1311078)

This short note is a continuation of author's investigations into the boundary equations which arise in solving the initial-boundary value problems of the dynamics of piecewise-homogeneous elastic media by the method of potential theory. The formulation of the general contact problem of the dynamics of elastic media and its reduction to a system of boundary equations by boundary element method are given. Only the fundamental result which answers the question of unique solvability of the boundary equations is given.
