Let \(M\) be a topological space and \(\mathcal M\) its loop space, i.e., set of equivalence classes of the smooth immersions \(f: S^ 1 \to M\). Endow \(\mathcal M\) with a topology conventionally and turn it into a Fréchet manifold. It is known that the almost complex structure of \(\mathcal M\) is formally integrable (Brylinski). The author investigates another kind of (local) integrability which can be stated as: the almost complex structure of \(\mathcal M\) is called local integrable in the weak sense, if for any \(\Gamma \in {\mathcal M}\) and \({\mathcal X} \in T_ \Gamma{\mathcal M}\), \({\mathcal X} \neq 0\), there is a neighborhood \({\mathcal U} \subset {\mathcal M}\) of \(\Gamma\) and a holomorphic function \(F: {\mathcal U} \to \mathbb{C}\) such that \({\mathcal X}F \neq 0\). He proves for two types of loop spaces, that is, either \(M\) is the hypersurface in a complex manifold, or in the real analytic Riemannian manifold, the loop spaces associated with them have local integrability in the weak sense, and also shows the failure of strong integrability, i.e., \(\mathcal M\) is not locally biholomorphic to the open sets in Fréchet space (only in the former type the existence of non-Levi flat point on \(M\) is required). This reveals the diversity of integrability for the loop spaces.
