This paper presents a simple analog/digital circuit to generate pseudorandom numbers. The circuit is called the chaotic clock generator (CCG) and has an input for an external clock signal and outputs a random bit sequence. Since the output from the comparator of individual chaotic oscillators is random but it does not generate all possible bit sequences, the CCG consists of two identical nonautonomous chaotic oscillators and one of the oscillator takes bit samples from the other. The results of the linear tests such as the distribution, the return map and the autocorrelation, and the nonlinear tests such as the correlation integral analysis and the local prediction techniques demonstrate the randomness of the random numbers obtained by this circuit.
