The authors consider pseudodifferential operators with symbol \(p(x,\xi)\in S_{1,\delta}^ 0\), \(\delta<1\), in the frame of the spaces of Besov-Triebel-Lizorkin type \(B_{pq}^ s\), \(F_{pq}^ s\). It was already known that \(p(x,D)\) acts continuously on these spaces. Here the authors show that the operators \(p(x,D)\) are spectrally invariant with respect to \(B_{pq}^ s\), \(F_{pq}^ s\), i.e. according to \textit{B. Gramsch} [Math. Ann. 269, No. 1, 27-71 (1984; Zbl 0661.47037)]: if \(p(x,D)\) has bounded inverse \(p(x,D)^{-1}\) in \(L(B_{pq}^ s)\) or \(L(F_{pq}^ s)\), then \(p(x,D)^{-1}= q(x,D)\) where also \(q(x,\xi)\in S_{1,\delta}^ 0\). The result is obtained as consequence of an abstract characterization of the operators \(p(x,D)\), by continuity in function spaces of the previous type of the iterated commutators with \(x_ j\) and \(D_{x_ j}\).
