In this interesting paper it is shown that every first countable image of a product of stratifiable spaces under a closed continuous mapping is stratifiable. Moreover, every first countable image of a product of paracompact \(\sigma\)-spaces under a closed continuous mapping is a paracompact \(\sigma\)-space.
