The Lyapunov's second method is extended to impulsive differential equations employing piecewise continuous Lyapunov functions. The concept of \((h_ 0,h)\)-stability is introduced. Some examples which clearly demonstrate the critical dependence on the parameters of Lyapunov functions are given. It is noted that impulsive effect do contribute in stabilization of unstable systems.
