An inhomogeneous elliptic complex (Q1317287)

Let \(M\) be a compact Riemannian manifold without boundary of dimension \(m \geq 2\). The authors consider an elliptic complex of partial differential operators on \(M\) which contains only 3 terms and which was considered first by \textit{J. Gasqui} [Compos. Math. 47, 43-69 (1982; Zbl 0515.53015)]. A particularity of the complex is that the second term in the complex consists of second order operators. They show that both the index and the equivariant index of the complex vanishes and study the heat equation asymptotics of the complex.
