The author studies the propagation of an extended hydrofracture in a permeable elastic medium when the viscous fluid is injected. The motion of the fluid in the fracture is taken as turbulent; the filtration equation describes the flow in the porous medium. The problem finally reduces to the integration of a one-dimensional integral equation, which is performed by successive approximations. Asymptotic behaviour of the solution is discussed near the tip and well of the fracture.
