The present investigation deals with the radial oscillations of a gas bubble in an ideal incompressible liquid subject to pressure variations. The gas within the bubble consists of an inert component and combustible components. Moreover, the gas is assumed to be homobaric. Processes occurring within the bubble are assumed to be spherically symmetric. Diffusion within the gas may be ignored. Then the dynamics of the radial oscillations of the bubble is described by the Rayleigh equation. Since phase transitions are excluded, the temperature of the liquid remains practically unchanged, and the heat across the interface is fully determined by the thermal resistance of the gas. Since no phase transitions occur, the heat flux across the boundary is continuous and can be determined by the solution of the internal heat exchange problem for a bubble. In addition, the equations of state and continuity have to be taken into account. Finally, the kinematics of the reaction is governed by the Arrhenius law. Following the formulation of the problem under consideration, only small oscillations of gas bubbles are considered. This leads to a simplification of the Rayleigh equation and, due to a small departure of the temperature from the state equilibrium, to a reduction of the heat transfer equation. The latter is solved by the Fourier method. A simple analytical expression is derived for the decrement of the oscillations. It is shown that the presence of a small amount of combustible gas in bubbles results in a considerable decrease in the attenuation of their oscillations. Calculations have been carried out for a gas oscillating above the state of equilibrium in the pressure of a combustible admixture.
