In fuzzy neighborhood spaces (fns) [\textit{R. Lowen}, ibid. 7, 165-189 (1982; Zbl 0487.54008)], \textit{A. F. M. Khodadad Khan} and the reviewer [ibid. 46, 115-120 (1992; Zbl 0759.54005)] introduced the concepts of sequential convergence and the first axiom of countability. Following these two concepts the present author introduces the notions of \(N\)- compactness and \(N\)-sequential compactness in fns. It is demonstrated that the notion of \(N\)-sequential compactness is a good extension. A few basic related results are achieved.
