It is well known that Kloosterman sums arise in the theory of automorphic forms in connection with the Fourier coefficients of Poincaré series. For these sums we have the famous estimates of Weil. The author considers the case of the so-called generalized Kloosterman sums which come up from vector-valued Poincaré series and finds estimates which are analogous to that of Weil. Notions and formulas are complicated and so it is difficult to state these here explicitly.
