\(\alpha\)-compactness of reduced products and filter quotients (Q1320372)

A series of results on \(\alpha\)-compactness of modules (i.e. modules \(M\) such that every finite solvable system of \(\alpha\) equations over \(M\) admits a solution in \(M\)) of the form \(\sum _ G M_ i / \sum_ FM_ i\), where \(F\), \(G\) (\(F \subseteq G\)) are filters on a set \(I\), \(\{M_ i\}_{i \in I}\) is a family of modules and \(\sum_ F M_ i = \{(m_ i) \in\prod M_ i; \{i; m_ i = 0\} \in F\}\). Some result of \textit{L. Fuchs} [Bull. Acad. Polon. Sci., Sér. Sci. Math. Astron. Phys. 11, 39- 40 (1963; Zbl 0111.031)] is generalized for uncountable cardinals.
