On the rigidity of spherical \(t\)-designs that are orbits of finite reflection groups (Q1321565)

The author reviews the fundamental results on spherical \(t\)-designs, focusing on the properties of being rigid and/or tight, and considers those designs which are orbits of finite reflection groups. Such a design is proved to be rigid iff it is tight for the following groups: \(A_ n\), \(B_ n\), \(C_ n\), \(D_ n\), \(E_ 6\), \(E_ 7\), \(F_ 4\), and \(I_ 3\). Some observations are made on the open cases left.
