The author continues his program of showing that many continuous selection theorems for l.s.c. maps remain valid for the larger class of q.l.s.c. (= quasi-l.s.c.) maps. His principal tool is his result [Topology Appl. 50, No. 2, 129-138 (1993; see the review above), Theorem 2.1] that, if \(X\) is a \(T_ 1\)-space, \(Y\) a complete metric space, and if \(\varphi: X\to {\mathcal F}(Y)\) is q.l.s.c., then there exists a l.s.c. \(\varphi': X\to {\mathcal F}(Y)\) such that \(\varphi'(x)\subset \varphi(x)\) for every \(x\in X\). In the present paper, it is proved (Theorem 1.2) that, if \(\varphi: X\to {\mathcal F}(Y)\) and \(\varphi': X\to{\mathcal F}(Y)\) are as above, and if \(\{\varphi(x)\): \(x\in X\}\) is uniformly equi-\(LC^ n\), then so is \(\{\varphi'(x)\): \(x\in X\}\); if also each \(\varphi(x)\) is \(C^ n\), then so is each \(\varphi'(x)\). This implies that the principal results of [the reviewer, Ann. Math., II. Ser. 64, 562-580 (1956; Zbl 0073.177)] and of \textit{G. M. Nepomnyashchij} [Sib. Math. J. 26, 566-572 (1986); translation from Sib. Mat. Zh. 26, No. 4(152), 111-119 (1985; Zbl 0589.54028)] for l.s.c. maps remain valid for q.l.s.c. maps. [Note that, unlike l.s.c. maps, the definition of q.l.s.c. maps depends on the metric (not just the topology) on \(Y\). Note also that, throughout the paper, the symbol \(\dashv\) should be replaced by \({\mathcal A}\)].
