A problem of stabilization for the von Kármán plate is studied when the rotational moments of inertia and viscous damping are introduced into the plate model. It is assumed that, only a portion of the boundary curve is available for the control actions and it is not imposed any geometric condition on the controlled portion of the boundary. The stability estimates are derived for all weak solutions. The goal of the paper is to show that by implementing the stabilizing controls acting through forces and bending moments along a portion of the boundary curve the energy of the von Kármán plate decays exponentially as time increases.
