The main result of the paper is the following theorem: For functions \(f: \mathbb{R}_ +\to \mathbb{R}\) satisfying the condition \(0\leq f(s)\leq \max(1,s/t)\cdot f(t)\) \((s,t>0)\) the following inequality holds \[ \left(\int^ \infty_ 0 [t^{-\vartheta} f(t)]^ q dt/t\right)^{1/q}\leq (C_{\vartheta,q}/C_{\vartheta,p})\left(\int^ \infty_ 0 [t^{-\vartheta} f(t)]^ p dt/t\right)^{1/p}, \] where \(0< p< q\leq \infty\), \(0<\vartheta< 1\), and \(C_{\vartheta,p}= (p\vartheta(1- \vartheta))^{-1/p}\). This inequality with a different constant is well- known in the theory of interpolation spaces. Here the constant is the best possible.
